Once in a great while, I run across something that completely disgusts me.  Here’s an example.

Jennifer Parks, KPHO news, Phoenix AZ reported yesterday: “Mesa, Ariz. – The signs are posted all over one Mesa park, warning dog owners of the tainted meat poisoning pets. Four of them alone are on the entrance sign going into Carriage Lane Park in Mesa. They warn dog owners about the recent poisonings. To date at least five dogs have become sick after eating the tainted meat. ‘There’s a violent criminal out there killing things in a park in Mesa,’ said dog owner Reece Ponicki. The dog owner said someone has been setting out meat laced with poison along the canal near Carriage Lane Park in Mesa. ‘He’s put a lot of thought and effort into purchasing meat, purchasing poisons,’ said Ponicki. The meat looks like it has seeds in it. Ponicki’s dog Max ate some of it last Sunday on his walk and collapsed minutes later. ‘He stands up and falls over sideways and starts convulsing,’ Ponicki said…. ‘I don’t know what the motivation could be for this,’ said dog owner Christine Pomerenki. One the same day, near the same canal where Max got sick, Pomerenke’s dog C.J. also got ill. ‘Had foam coming from her mouth and her eyes were wide open and looked like she had gone pretty quickly,’ said Pomerenke. C.J. died less than an hour after getting home….. Mesa’s animal control is said to be investigating.”

Personally, I’d like to know why someone would be doing this. I have seen evil and can understand it. This, though, is not easily comprehensible to me. I often hear that a human’s life is always of higher value than a dog. In this case, I think otherwise. Hopefully the animal control officers will find the person doing this. He or she will probably get fined for it. I’d rather he or she eat a big plate of that meat they like to feed to dogs. Then, when convulsing, one of my dogs could walk over and piss all over the worthless garbage as it gasps and dies.  When people with so little sense of right and wrong are walking among us, no wonder some of us carry guns.
