Carry A Gun When Voting
Sometimes, something is just wrong. Here's an example:
“Charges brought against three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense under the Bush administration have been dropped by the Obama Justice Department, FOX News has learned.”
Remember this deal, last November 2nd? The three members of this “New” party were at a polling place in Philadelphia, where they were quite busy intimidating voters while one member waved a nightstick around. These three were not exactly hiding, they were shown several times on national news broadcasts until Philadelphia police got involved.
Prosecutors say that the member with the nightstick “supports racially motivated violence against non-blacks and Jews.” A witness at the polling place states that one member turned to the white poll observers and said “you are about to be ruled by the black man, cracker.” Sounds like a trio of upstanding citizens, doing their best to support their race. Right. Here’s three idiots that somebody should have shot, but of course, it’s against the law to have a gun in a polling place on election day (in most places), and one can’t carry a gun in Philadelphia anyway (unless that’s changed recently, which I doubt). Too bad Philadelphia police didn’t bring their horses and ride over these three ‘Panthers’ a few hundred times. Panthers intimidating people and spouting off racist bullshit. Panthers? Sounds like pussies to me.
Just what did the current administration have to say about this unique turn of events? “The Justice Department was successful in obtaining an injunction that prohibits the defendant who brandished a weapon outside a Philadelphia polling place from doing so again. Claims were dismissed against the other defendants based on a careful assessment of the facts and the law.” The spokesman then goes on about how the department is “committed to the vigorous prosecution of those who intimidate, threaten or coerce anyone exercising his or her sacred right to vote.” They sure have an odd way of showing how committed they are, since they told one Black Panther to not show a weapon again – I am sure he’ll follow that carefully – and then just let the other two men go.
Since it appears that the people of the Justice Department, based on their actions rather than their words, are really not going to prosecute those who try to intimidate you at a polling place, then you will have to exercise your right to self-defense if you are intimidated or threatened. Someone waving a nightstick at me isn’t going to do it twice. Don’t let anyone intimidate you when you are attempting to vote, which is a freedom afforded to very few people on this Earth. You’re in the United States and if, as it seems based on these events, justice will not serve you, then you will have to implement it yourself. Unfortunately, this leaves me wondering what other crimes the Justice Department will ignore.

Hmmm . . . I guess we should expect the same kind of reaction with regard to the North Koreans recent test of nuclear weapons . . . . . . . right ! ! !
